the basic KYPS service is free
The basic KYPS service is entirely free. The basic KYPS service lets you
- register with KYPS as many accounts as you like,
- obtain one-time codes as compact codes and/or word codes (read more about code formats),
- perform as many logins as you like, and
- obtain new codes when your current list gets exhausted.
In order to receive one-time codes via SMS you need to buy a subsciption.
sms subscription types and price list
As a subscriber, you can instruct KYPS to send SMS messages containing one-time codes directly to your mobile phone. When you login via KYPS, simply click on the red mobile phone icon to have the current one-time code sent to your mobile phone via SMS. Every SMS contains a single one-time code, and is therefore good for one login.
If you normally travel with your own laptop, then you will need KYPS only occasionally. You will require only few KYPS logins - but you never know exactly when you will need them. The following subscription types are meant for sporadic use only.

If you do not travel with your own laptop, then you might want to use KYPS more often, maybe even for every login. In this case, we recommend that you use the SMS service in addition to the basic service, i.e. that you use the SMS service as a backup in case you forget to take your printed list of one-time codes. You will need a higher SMS limit, since you might want to log into some of your accounts on a daily basis. The following subscription types are meant for regular use.

Subscriptions are not automatically renewed. You may manually renew an existing subscription simply by buying another one. The system will adjust the subscription expiry date and SMS limits accordingly. KYPS uses clickatell.com for forwarding SMS messages. According to their list, they cover 755 mobile phone networks in more than 200 countries. The terms of service apply.
