PRIVACY POLICY (effective since July 15th, 2007) 1. At registration of your KYPS account, the KYPS service stores the username and the email address that you provide and the IP address from which the registration request originates in its database. KYPS keeps this information in its database until your account is deleted. Note that your account can be deleted as a result of your action, or as a result of administrative action. Your account is automatically deleted either when it expires, or when you use your last remaining one-time code. Your account being deleted means that the KYPS service permanently deletes all your personal information from its database. 2. KYPS generates a log file that contains descriptions of important events that occur during service provisioning. Entries in the log file include the IP address of the computer that originated the request that is associated with the event (if applicable), and the username that is associated with the event (if applicable). The log file does not contain passwords of any sort. The KYPS service makes no guarantees as to the minimum and/or maximum period of time for which the log file will be retained. 3. The KYPS service will use all information mentioned in paragraphs 1 and 2 above exclusively for the purposes of improving the KYPS service. Under no circumstances will the KYPS service share this information with, or disclose it to, any third parties, unless if required to do so by law. 4. The KYPS service may use your information in order to generate general usage statistics of the service. Such statistics may be periodically published in an appropriately anonymised fashion. The KYPS service will not publish any information that may enable others to infer your personal information. 5. The KYPS service reserves the right to change its privacy policy without prior notice. However, the practices concerning previously gathered information will not be affected by such a change. The current privacy policy is published on this website. |
